What…what the hell is this…? A voice called out into a void. It saw nothing. Hearing only itself. It had no senses, only thoughts. What…who…? It was confused. He was confused. Roy Solomon, age 18, was confused. Oh yeah… At first, he was merely aware. Then he remembered. Who he was, what he had been doing, and the last thing that happened before…This. Wait… I'm dead, aren't I? No two ways about that. Gotta say, every afterlife promise involved more theatrics than this. Though, weirdly, I'm not really disappointed. Kinda wondering what I was afraid if this for… It wasn't grand, but it wasn't terrible either. The worst thing about it might be… his regrets. He had always had a "Play it by ear" lifestyle, never bothering with long term goals. That wasn't to say he never made plans. He was actually good at those.
