Universe's End Page 21

We begin Nekro/Elder Tanook's backstory. Just what drove him to do what he's doing? How did he gain his new powers? And how did he get to this time?

Realized this may be hard to read, so I put what he's saying below:
As you know, I am immortal. Meaning that as long as I don't get myself killed, I won't die. Fine and dandy right? Well, as some of you know, it has its downsides....

I never got killed, and aged one year for every billion. I watched alot of my friends from earth who weren't immortal age and die, as well as every friend I made in Dororai. Still, I carried on, kept making new friends, but the scars deepened every time....

Eventually, as it always happens, the universe came to an end. Me and a few others survived into the next universe....

I went through lifetime after lifetime, and a few of us got killed over time. Some went mad before I did. Eventually that universe ended too, and the same cycle continued until there were only two Deviants from my universe left, Me...
